History
Carla Colombo’s Farm was founded in 2006: they arrived from the “city” with the desire to rediscover a contact with the land, rediscover ancient aromas and flavors, and slowly found themselves working to obtain excellent wines.
The vineyard is located in Castana (Pavia) on the hillside in front of the Castle of Cigognola, exposed to the sun from dawn to dusk with a constant breeze that keeps the vines ventilated, so as to avoid stagnant humidity that allow us to reduce to minimum treatments against fungal diseases.
The Vigna di Frach
The soil is clayey with a particular white color, rich in mineral salts that give the wine particular fragrances.
They began following humbly the advice of the winemakers in the area, studying and putting so much passion. From 1 January 2012 they have joined the “Club del Buttafuoco Storico” so that from 2016 it has been possible to taste the Buttafuoco Storico “Vigna di Frach”.
