History

After four years it was decided, a bit ‘for the position a bit’ for the exposure and the shape of the soil of this new vineyard, to try the production of Buttafuoco in the Vigna Costera located in the city of Montescano.
Following this decision we can say, for the moment, that there have been positive feedback on the evolution of wine and on the positive response of customers and new tasters.

Vineyard

The wine comes from a careful selection of the grapes in harvest to ensure the achievement of the best possible product, it comes from three vines: Croatina (55%), Barbera (30%), Uva rara (15%), native varieties that give life to the most ancient and traditional blend of this territory. The wine is aged in wooden barrels for 16 months and is aged in the bottle for about 10 months before the sale, which can only take place after obtaining the positive opinion of the cellar commission and in any case not before 36 months from the harvesting of the grapes.
